When the Music Makes Us
7:30 p.m. | Saturday, 5.14.2016 | Eno River UU Fellowship - Durham, NC

Music is a powerful thing. It moves us and shakes us, brings us joy and even commiserates with us. The chorus gets the privilege of making music and sharing it with you, our community. But sometimes, the music makes us. Join us as we sing a selection of music that we've been inspired by.
We are also honored to perform, Power Lines, by Kala Pierson, a commission of GALA Choruses for our upcoming GALA Festival this summer. We are one of 15 women's choruses who will perform this in our home towns before we join in a mass choir in Denver.
The concert is free to the public, with donations accepted at the door.

Tell us you're coming and share it with your friends on Facebook!

Fall 2014

Rivers. Mountains. The low and the high. Those wild, inspired, sacred places where we celebrate and mourn, pray and seek answers, cleanse and soothe our weary souls, find peace and hope and redemption.

On November 15, the chorus and friends will come together to sing rowdy, joyful, and reverent songs that praise and celebrate these wild, sacred places.

Because, sometimes, you have to take the long view. Because, during seasons of unending rain and legislative missteps and trampled civil liberties and economic meanness, we lift EVERY voice and sing. Songs that rekindle our hope and gird our resolve. Songs that remind us of the possibility of building a more perfect union. Songs that reside in us. Unite us. And inspire us to action. Never turning back. Never turning back. . . .
